Asked before the party

The questions parents send us most, usually the night before. 230 products, one page of answers.

Can I fill Toyland foil balloons with air instead of helium?

Yes. Every Toyland foil balloon can be filled with air or helium. With air it will not float, so tape it to a wall, tie it to a chair or stand it on a balloon stick. With helium it floats. Larger shapes float more reliably than small ones.

    Do the balloons arrive inflated?

No. Our balloons are packed flat and uninflated so they travel safely. You fill them at home with a straw, a hand pump or a helium canister.

How do I seal the balloon once it is full?

You do not need to. Our foil balloons have a self-sealing valve. Pull the straw or nozzle out and the valve closes on its own.

How full should I fill it?

Stop when the balloon is firm and most of the creases along the seams have gone. Overfilling can split a seam, especially in a warm room or a hot car.

How big is a 32-inch balloon really?

Sizes are measured flat, before inflation, across the longest side. Once filled, a shaped balloon is a little shorter and a lot rounder. A 32-inch character stands about as tall as a toddler.

Which number balloons do you make?

Our 26-inch character number balloons come in the digits listed in each product name. Each digit is sold as its own balloon, so check the number before you order.

What comes in a mini balloon pack?

The packs of twenty or so mini character balloons include sticks and cups. Fill them with air, clip each one onto its stick and hand them out or stand them in party bags.

    What is a Worry Monster?

A Worry Monster is a soft plush toy with a zip mouth. A child writes or draws what is bothering them, posts the note inside and zips it shut. A grown-up can read the note later and talk it through.

Do the bath boats really float?

Yes. Our boats, ferries and cargo ships are made as floating water toys for the bath or pool. Check the age guidance on each listing before play.

Do the farm tractors need batteries?

Most of our tractors and combines are friction powered or free-wheeling, so they need no batteries. Where a model has lights and sound, the listing says so.

Where do I place an order?

Each product page here has a buy button that opens our product listing with our retail partner. You add to cart and check out there. This site itself does not take payment.

Who handles delivery, returns and refunds?

The store where you check out. Your order confirmation email has the tracking link, and returns are started from your order history with that store.

Why might the price here differ from the listing?

Prices and availability are set on the listing and can change at any time. The price shown at checkout is the one that applies.
